Nature Journaling at NSMLV

November 14th, 2015
10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Nature journaling is a way to record thoughts and observations about one's relationship with the natural world. It uses a combination of writing and graphic arts to record interactions with nature. Nature journalists learn how to be more observant, recognize patterns, use words to describe feelings, and accompany those feelings with drawings or sketches regardless of skill level. Learn the basics from Sharon K. Schafer, the museum's artist in residence.

Bring your lunch for this workshop and be prepared to explore the trails of the Springs Preserve.

Please contact Stacy Irvin at sirvin@nevadaculture.org or 702-822-8746 for more information.

This project is funded, in part, by a grant from the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
