NSM Family Fun Saturday: Flowers!
Learn the parts of a flower and how to press plants; design a colorful 3-D flower in a frame; sketch or paint your favorite flowers; and get maps for local wildflower walks.
This is also a great opportunity to speak with resident scientists and botanists about local spring wildflowers including Desert Peach, Bitterbrush, Lupine, Indian Paintbrush, Wooly Mule Ears, Arrow-Leaf Balsamroot, and more!
Admission: $8 for adults; free for museum members and ages 17 and under. No reservations needed. Best suited for ages 8 and up, but all ages are welcome. For more information, contact nsmeducation@nevadaculture.org or call 775-687-4810, ext. 237.
